Rick Karcher, CEO of RV Supplier LaSalle Bristol, is a huge United Way advocate, reflected by the generous support from the Company and its employees for many years and Rick’s ongoing role on the United Way of Elkhart County (“UWEC”) Board of Directors that he currently chairs. Now, Rick and LaSalle Bristol have discovered yet another way to support United Way’s efforts in Elkhart County by sharing some of the Company’s recent realized expense savings with UWEC…a true win-win approach.

One of several expense-saving initiatives LaSalle Bristol is working on with local firm, Accretive of Indiana, recently identified about $100,000 in annual logistics savings and approximately $8,000 of that will be channeled to UWEC. “We hope other companies adopt this approach to supporting United Way’s work,” Karcher stated.

“It’s really hard to find anything not to like about the shared savings (“foundraising”) program offered by Accretive to uncover savings that are shared between Corporate partners like LaSalle Bristol and United Way”, stated Bill Rieth, President and CEO of UWEC. “It’s just one MORE way the Community and UWEC can win together.”

Accretive partner Bill McDonough added, “This is a no-lose offering to nonprofits and for profits alike since we take all the risk and don’t charge for our time. This is a new form of fundraising we call “FoundRaising” to help nonprofits do even more good in the community.” Accretive manages several partnerships with area nonprofits. “It’s very satisfying”, he said, “to help multiple parties at once.”
